This beat is just above the tide and as per Geens Mill this water can be good for sea trout, with a reasonable head of brown trout. Try 7-8ft 3-5wt fly rods and fish in the gloaming for sea trout. They can be caught on nymph by day but worm, Rapalas and Mepps (size 2) are better, especially during, and straight after, a summer spate (even better if coinciding with spring tides). Very lightly fished last season although 28 brown trout to 11” were recorded. Much of the beat has benefitted from management works since last season.

Restrictions:
All legal methods allowed. No more than 1 salmon, 2 sea trout or 2 trout to be retained per day.
