Camel - Tresarret

5 Tokens

1 May - 30 Sept
1250m of single right hand bank.

Access: *****

A lovely section of the River Camel with 6 named, easily accessible pools providing excellent salmon and sea trout fishing. The beat also offers good dry fly and nymph for brown trout. This is a relatively easy beat to fish best suited to a fly rod of around 9ft.

Fished by Passport anglers mainly for brownies in 2013, the beat produced around 100 of these along with a couple of peal. As usual, numerous sightings of salmon and large sea trout were reported following high water.

Before 16 June fly and spinner only. After 16 June fly, spinner and worm. All trout under 7” must be returned, no more than 2 trout, 2 sea trout or 1 salmon to be retained per day.

Salmon fishing from Sept 1st to December 15th available in conjunction with holiday accommodation at Tresarret Manor by prior booking (Tel: 01208 850338)
