18.5.12 Around the Passport Beats

Catch return round up - good bags of brown trout being recorded on dries and nymphs. A full roundup of the Token Fishery catch returns have just been put on line @ www.westcountryangling.com/index.php?area=tbcatchview. Headline catches include 17 browns on dry fly, with the largest at nearly a pound, at Essebeare (Beat 5), a 13" brown on dry fly from Park Mill (Beat 8), 11 browns to 8" at Treburtle and some good coarse fishing being had at Downacarey Lake (Beat 41).

Looking forward, the good news is that the majority of our rivers are settling down and looking in good fettle for the coming weeks. Hopefully the temperature will warm up to encourage a little more surface activity?

We are at Devon show tomorrow (Saturday 19 May), so come and see us at the fishing stand if you're around.
