Great beat with loads of features and very deep pools. Will return when I have thawed out!

Water temp just too low for any activity. Stunning beat.

6 brown trout caught in otal. Five were 6 inchers but 1 was a good fish of one pound plus. All fish were returned.
Great fishing. Difficult to enter the beat as no signage at the farmhouse so just had to guess!!

5 on grey duster, 2 on nymph. Caught the river just right, the fish were feeding well. The 12 incher was a good fish.

Two rods caught around 12 brown trout each, up to approximately 8oz.
Far from ideal conditions, river high and slightly coloured, but a good day with plenty of good wild fish.

Overall 2 brown trout, best a lively 9".
Water crystal clear. This is a tricky beat to fish but we did better on this, our second visit. We found that very small flies (size 14-16) were most successful.

Two brown trout, the largest was a good fish, must have been around 12 inches. Teal Blue and Silver.
River in great order but weather still cold. Caught the fish in the middle of the day but nothing later as it got colder still.

About a dozen brown trout on dry fly but nothing bigger than 9". All returned.
Rather a lot of debris: a sock, a tie, a supermarket trolley, aftershave, a sandwich box, footballs etc.. Very few fish in evidence. Attractive looking pools & runs, but is it worth the money?
