6 Brown Trout caught & released and about 20+ caught but not landed due to barbless hooks in use.

Did, briefly, have a 1.5 - 2 pound brown on for 20 seconds (last fish of the day) after landing a perfect roll cast with an added S wiggle to put some slack in the line on a dead patch of water against the bank...post 5 seconds of perfect float & WHAM! Big brown shot up & took the Parachute Adams.
Came across a dead cow in the river, let the farmer know post fishing & he said it was his neighbor's based on the colour (white) as his are red.
This river is a casting challenge. I had to pull just about every cast I know out of my repertoire including roll & dynamic rolls, water hauls, side arm casts, left hand casts, reach/mend & S casts...but managed not to lose any flies...
3 small brown trout
Rainy but a good morning on the river. Lots of small BT. No large fish spotted.
A lovely beat but conditions- a little too bright and very clear relatively low water - defeated me.
No fish landed, 1 small brown trout hooked but lost.
Beautiful days fishing, very pleasant stretch and very friendly farmer.
First warm weather for a while. Plenty of fly on the water and fish rising freely. Missed some nice fish as the flies presented were not exactly what was hatching, so they were not taking with conviction.
Water in good condition and fish rising nicely. Didn't have time to fully cover the pools and need to return for a full day. A beautiful place.
Rod 1 caught 2 small brown trout on small grey/green klinkhamers and a larger trout about 8 inches on a wet Greenwells Glory size 12 on a short dropper. Total 3 fish, all beautifully coloured.
Plenty of fly life on a warm June day, including a few Mayfly but the trout did not seem to be taking them. As you know, access down the steep banks is difficult in places - but fun! Friendly at South Dornaford farm, lovely location, exactly what we expect from the scheme. The dog accompanied me for an hour. Great day out. Thank you.
Rod 2 caught 2 small brown trout, and enjoyed his day.
Rod 3 was first back on the river after lunch and caught 6 trout. All using small flies, klink and dink..
No trout were taken by any of the three rods - all returned. Debarbed hooks used.
Great beat with loads of features and very deep pools. Will return when I have thawed out!
