3 No BT (5", 6" and 7")
2 trout hooked but lost (possibly larger).
Black Ant and EHC seemed of most interest
Very dry period so river low. Sunny, hot day with little action on the water.
Poor access to the bottom end of the beat without wading downstream in water of unknown depth. Difficult for older anglers!!
6 small browns.
Still enough depth in the pools, however the flow is very, very slow. Could really do with some rain, to liven this excellent beat up.
I would fish this beat again and recommend it to others.
4 browns,best 13in.1 peal, 2 3/4 lbs,photo to follow.
river level perfect, slightly coloured, which made it ideal for daytime Peal on the fly.
1 Peal about 3/4 lb
nothing moving until way after dark, one peal about 23.00,at least there on the move.
Water cleared during the day and conditions looked good..nobody told the fish !
Beat almost unfishable, water heavily coloured,U/W visibility about 35 CMS.
Now this is becoming embarrassing,to blank once is forgivable but twice, no excuse, if it happens on third visit then Hara-Kiri is in order
Nothing caught but had a very pleasant day trying !
Pleasant day out,'happiness is a man with his rod in he,s hand'
1 bt 1.5lbs.
I don't think there are many brown trout in this stretch but the one I caught was a very nice size.
