How it works..
The Booking Office provides an easy way for anglers to reserve fishing for salmon, sea trout, trout and grayling in rivers throughout the region. Details of the Booking Office beats are available online here or by viewing the printed beat sheets distributed with the angling information pack.
To reserve your fishing you can either call in to the Office or phone on 01579 372140 (open Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm) and let us know where, when and how many of you would like to go and we’ll make the booking for you.
The number of rods available per day is limited to ensure that anglers have lots of fishing to enjoy. However, on some beats an additional rod is available if the beat is booked by a group, which will suit friends who are happy to share the water.

How to Pay Paying for your fishing is very easy. You can phone the Office and pay by debit/credit cards or cheque. You can also pay in person at the Office or you can redeem your Westcountry Angling Passport Tokens against the cost of your fishing.
Once a booking has been made, you will be sent the directions to the beat and a beat map which includes other useful information on the fishing and the local area.
Wash-off Policy
Should you turn up to fish and find the river in spate, we can re-book your fishing for another day. However, this is subject to certain conditions including; you must re-book on the same beat in the same season; if the rod price is higher in the re-booked period, you will have to pay the difference and lastly, the WRT manager’s decision on water conditions is final. Please note that once you have made a booking, no refunds are available. Please also be aware that information contained in the beat sheets (pricing, availability & restrictions) may change during the season and may therefore be different when you book.
Access & Wading
Much of the water available through the Booking Office is surrounded by farming land so please follow the Countryside Code – close gates, avoid damaging crops and keep away from stock. Although some of the beats have good access to fish from the banks, many require deep wading to get the best out of the fishing. Where possible, we try to indicate on the beat sheets and maps how difficult the wading is but it is the responsibility of anglers to be aware and plan for fishing over a range of different substrates and water depths. As with any wading, great care should be taken - use waders with appropriate soles, carry a wading stick and wear a buoyancy aid. This is not an exhaustive list of safety precautions.
